Pokemon GO Travel Event and Global Catch Challenge (2017)

The Pokémon GO Travel event (2017) is taking place from November 20th and runs until November 26th 2017. The event features the first ever Pokemon GO Global Catch Challenge, challenging players to catch 3 billion Pokemon worldwide.

If the challenge is beaten, the following rewards will be unlocked: double XP, double stardust, six hour lures, increased Pokemon spawn rates and 48 hour long availability of Farfetch’d worldwide and Kangashkan in East Asia.

  • If trainers manage to catch 3 billion Pokemon from November 20th to 26th, a number of worldwide bonuses will be unlocked, including Farfetch’d appearing worldwide and Kangashkan in East Asia
  • The Global Catch Challenge starts now and concludes with a special celebration at the Pokémon GO Safari Zone event in Tottori, Japan, on November 26.

Global Catch Challenge Rewards

The first ever Pokemon GO Global Catch Challenge is a part of this event. If trainers manage to catch 3 billion Pokemon from November 20 to November 26th 2017, the whole globe will enjoy several powerful bonuses. Similar to how GO Fest worldwide challenges were handled, players are required to work and play together in order to complete a common goal.
