Aggron Raid Counters Guide

Posted in

Aggron

Aggron is a Tier 3 raid boss in Pokémon Go. Being a Rock and Steel type, it is weak to the Fighting, Ground and Water types, with the Fighting and Ground weaknesses being 2x.

While you SHOULDN’T use Aggron in raids even though the recommended counters tell you to, Aggron is an interesting spicy pick for the lower PvP leagues.

Aggron can be caught with the following CP values:

  • 1636 – 1714 CP at Level 20, no weather boost
  • 2045 – 2143 CP at Level 25 with Partly Cloudy or Snow weather boost

Generally, 1 trainer can beat with Ground and Fighting types in their weather boosts. To be on the safe side, 2-3 trainers will suffice.

Aggron Raid Counters

Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article. That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it.

The best counters for Aggron are the following:
