Trainers,

we’re happy to announce that on January 14th, 2pm-5pm, a large scale community meet up will take place at the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, California.

What is special about this meetup is the fact that this is the first ever Pokémon Go PokéFest hosted by the Pokémon Go Youtube community.

The meetup will feature dozens of popular Pokémon GO YouTubers:

  • ProdigiesNation: link

  • DarkMatterWolf: link
  • Mister6ix Gaming: link

  • Sinn Badd: link
  • DX1: link
  • Javi Gaming: link

  • PopeDave: link
  • …and more (we must have forgotten someone)

To clarify, this is not a first party official Niantic event nor is this the 2018 version of Pokémon GO Fest — this is a community meetup that is organised primarily by the Pokémon GO Youtube community.

The meetup activities include:

  • meeting your favourite streamers and YouTubers
    • picture opportunities
    • signature opportunities
    • hanging out with
  • group hunting and raiding
  • lure modules should be up and running (not confirmed)

Although the meetup could be described as “US only”, we’re excited for the event as it lays foundation for potential future events and collaboration.

If you think about it, this event is the first collaborative, large scale effort by the Pokémon GO Youtube community — a lot could happen and a lot of activities could grow out of this.

If you’re planning to attend the meetup, we would appreciate if you could take a few pictures, write a short description of your experience and send us an e-mail about it.
