Incense Day: Type Shuffle is a special in-game Pokémon GO event that takes place on Sunday, April 19, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time and features Incense spawns that rotate every hour of the event.

Related changes to Incense are coming to Pokémon GO soon, but it is unlikely they will be released before this event: Activate multiple Star Pieces, Lucky Eggs, and Incense at a time to extend effect duration.

Features

During the event, Incense will attract a large number of Sentrent, but different types of Pokémon will be attracted through out the event. The type of Pokémon attracted by Incense will change every hour:

  • 11:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m. features Water spawns
  • 12:00 p.m – 1:00 p.m. features Fire spawns
  • 1:00 p.m – 2:00 p.m. features Grass spawns
  • 2:00 p.m – 3:00 p.m. features Psychic spawns
  • 3:00 p.m – 4:00 p.m. features Bug spawns
  • 4:00 p.m – 5:00 p.m. features Ground spawns

During each hour there are select Pokémon of that type which will be common and one specific Pokémon specie that will be very uncommon:

Incense Day: Type Shuffle

Event Guide

The following data was shared by a player in the Philippines, detailing the percentage of each Pokémon that spawned during event hours:

Incense Day: Type Shuffle is a the first installment of “Incense Day” type of Pokémon GO event, and it serves as an excellent opportunity to spend some time playing from home. The ideal setup for this event is to hop on a voice call with your friends, get some coffee or tea and chat while farming with Incense.

We strongly recommend that you consider playing on and off during the event, since 6 hours of screen time can be very taxing on your eyes and your body as a whole.

Star Piece usage is recommended, as Stardust is a scarce resource these days, and this event is an excellent opportunity to replenish your dust bank with a significant amount. Just don’t spend it all at once.

Remember that Incense lasts for 1 hour during the Coronavirus epidemic, meaning you only need 6 Incense to go through the entire event. You can get 3 Incense by purchasing the 1 PokéCoin bundle.

New shiny Pokémon

This event doesn’t have new shiny Pokémon.

Additional bonuses
