Jolteon Raid Guide

Jolteon

Jolteon is a pure Electric type eeveelution, with the only super effective counters being Ground types.

Jolteon can be caught in the following CP-range:

  • 1574 – 1650 (100% IV, level 20, no weather boost)
  • 1967 – 2063 (100% IV, level 25, boosted by Rainy weather)

This page details Jolteon counters, raid counters, and the Jolteon solo strategy.

Jolteon Raid Counters

Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article. That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it.

The best counters for Jolteon are the following:

Jolteon Movesets

Jolteon has access to the following moves:

Fast move Charge move
  • Volt Switch (Electric, fast)
  • Thunder Shock (Electric, fast)
  • Thunder (Electric, charged 1 bar)
  • Thunderbolt (Electric, charged 2 bar)
  • Discharge (Electric, charged 3 bars)

Jolteon has access to only Electric type moves that deal not very effective damage to Dragon, Grass, Electric and Ground type Pokemon.

Weather Influence

Jolteon is boosted by Rainy weather so you should try to avoid it unless you want to catch boosted Jolteon at level 25.

It can be possible to solo Jolteon, both with and without weather boost, however, it requires near max level high IV Pokémon to tackle it without any sort of weather boost.

Sunny is the best weather for a Jolteon solo, as it boosts the kings, Groudon and Garchomp, to where even level 25 Groudon or Garchomp can manage a solo win.

During Cloudy weather it is recommended to use (apart from Groudon) Fighting type Pokemon like Breloom and Machamp with Counter and Dynamic Punch.

Fog weather will boost the power of your Dark and Ghost type moves so you should use Mewtwo, Gengar, and Giratina with Shadow Ball.
