Ursaring is a Normal type raid boss. Optimal raid counters will include powerful Fighting types, with Ghost types being a strong defensive pick as long as you have non Ghost type attacks. As a tier 4, its stat composition of 236 Attack, 144 Defense, and 207 Stamina brings its raid boss CP to 30025.
Ursaring can be caught in the following CP ranges:
- 1604 CP – 1682 CP (no weather boost)
- 2006 CP – 2103 CP (boosted by Partly Cloudy weather)
Depending on your levels and counters, we would recommend 2-4 trainers who are high level, and more if you don’t have optimal teams.

Ursaring has a wide coverage of moves and can counter its counters. Be cautious when Ursaring uses Play Rough as this will hit most of its counters very hard. The hardest movesets will be Ursaring using counter and either Play Rough or Hyper Beam.
Weather Effects
Partly Cloudy weather boosts Ursaring, as well as its hard-hitting charge move Hyper Beam, so a boosted Ursaring will be a tough boss to fight. Cloudy weather will boost your Fighting type counters, but it will also boost Play Rough Fairy which will hit your fighting types hard. It is best to use Lucario, Cobalion, Toxicroak, and Sneasler in this scenario because they take neutral damage from Fairy type attacks.Conclusion
Despite Ursaring being able to counter fighting type Pokémon, it should be a fairly easy take down with a few friends. Most trainers likely have a Fighting type squad at this point, as fighting type is one of the best offensive types in the game. If you find that you do not have good fighting type Pokémon, we recommend using this opportunity to power some up as they will be useful far into the future.
