Trainers, it is now official: Eevee caught during both Eevee Community Days will know Last Resort, a charged Normal type move. In addition, during the three hour long period the following bonuses will be in effect:
- three hour long Lure Modules
- triple Stardust from catching all Pokemon
- a special Community Day box will be available in the in-game shop
Last Resort is a two bar charged move, with undisclosed stats. The official images show it only available on Eevee and we don’t know if it will be available on evolved forms. The Game Master file hasn’t been updated yet and doesn’t contain the stats for this move (not that it matters).
Updates via Pokemon.com article:
- shiny Eevee confirmed: “Eevee will appear in the wild much more frequently than normal during these periods, and you might encounter a Shiny Eevee for the first time.”
- all Eeveelutions will know also Last resort: “And its Evolutions aren’t about be left out of the fun—any Eevee that evolves between the start of Saturday’s Community Day until the end of Sunday’s will know Last Resort in its evolved form.”
It’s not yet clear if any additional bonuses will be available, but players have reported seeing an increase in evolved Pokemon form spawns. We’ll let you know if anything special is going on, but right now, we’re honestly waiting for a new APK to see what’s up with Last Resort and that fabled Gen IV leak.
Get ready, Trainers! Eevee caught during our special two-day Community Day in August will know the Normal-type attack Last Resort, a #PokemonGOCommunityDay exclusive! https://t.co/d9NW6x5gaF pic.twitter.com/zchJxfJFut

In other news, stats are out for Squirtle Community day, and it’s quite alarming:
- Team Instinct has won in North America and Greenland
- Team Mystic has won in South America, Africa, Asia and Russia
- Team Valor has won in Australia
This isn’t unusual by any chance, but we’d love to see some more red on the map, don’t you agree? Disclaimer: I’m Team Mystic.
That’s it folks, stay tuned for our Eevee Community day guide!
P.S. You should probably read our curiously recently published article about Eeveelutions: Analyzing Eevee evolutions in Pokemon GO: what is the best Eeveelution out there? How did we know? Why was it published today? Hmm…
