Latios is coming back to Pokèmon GO raids! From Monday, Apr. 15, 2019, at 1 p.m. to Monday, Apr. 22, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT (GMT −7), Latios will be joining Raid Battles. If you’re lucky, you may even encounter a Shiny Latios! Our Latios Raid Counters Guide is up to date.

Players have been clamoring about shiny Latios ever since Niantic announced that Latias will return for a Special Raid Weekend back in February of this year. We expect high attendance and player engagement once this event kicks off – shiny Latios is not only beautiful, it’s also genuinely useful!

Here’s a quick comparison between normal and shiny Latios:

Normal Latios is blue, white and red
Normal Latios is teal, orange and white

As you may have read in our Latios vs. Latias: Metagame analysis, neither Latios nor Latias are the strongest Pokèmon as far raids are concerned, but they are usable attackers and can be caught at decently high CPs – Level 20 CPs are above 2000, and Level 25 CPs are above 2600!
