The Pokémon Presents just ended, bringing a whole lot of new information on upcoming Pokémon games across all devices. Among the exciting news, two GO related news items stood out:
- Mega evolutions are coming to Pokémon GO later this year
- Victini is coming to Pokémon GO as well, but it’s not clear when
- Galarian Farfetch’d and new avatar items arrive in celebration of The Isle of Armor
Mega Evolutions are one of the most exciting features of older Pokémon games, and having that mechanism in GO brings a smile on our face. Niantic did not share a lot, but they did share a mysterious trailer that showcases the Mega Stone and the number 2020:

Victini’s arrival to Pokémon GO was hinted as well, this time by Pokémon Company’s official Twitter account:

In addition to the upcoming Mega Evolution feature, the addition of Galarian Farfetch’d was also announced during the Pokémon Presents event. This Pokémon is being added as a part of the Isle of Armor celebration, along with additional avatar items.
