Niantic has shared that the company received a $300 million investment from Coatue, a global investment manager focused on tech, media and telecommunications industries.
This investment brings Niantic’s total valuation at a whooping $9 billion. That’s a lot of PokéBalls.
Niantic will use the funds to invest in current games and new apps, expand the Lightship developer platform, and build out its vision for the Real-World Metaverse. You can learn more about Niantic’s Lightship Platform in the video below:
