Smack Down stats have been changed in the Game Master file, nerfing Tyranitar’s upcoming Community Day Exclusive Move when compared to the previous stat base. The Game Master was updated some time after June 07, but we’re not sure when it happened.
Here’s what changed:
Old | New | |
---|---|---|
Power | 12 | 16 |
Cooldown | 900ms | 1200ms |
DMG Start | 500ms | 800ms |
DMG end | 800ms | 1100ms |
Energy | +7 | +8 |
EPS | 7.8 EPS | 6.7 EPS |
Although these changes are not huge, they do impact Smack Down Tyranitar in a few interesting ways:
- Smack Down TTar will still be the strongest Rock type attacker, but it loses efficiency over the past stat bundle. However don’t be alarmed, as Smack Down / Stone Edge Tyranitar still performs around 15% better than any Golem you currently have.
- The Energy per Second has been nerfed from 7.8 to 6.7 EPS, which is identical to Waterfall Water, a move commonly found on Kyogre and Gyarados.
So where does this leave us? Well, it’s going to be a bit harder to charge up Tyranitar’s Stone Edge, as it takes a minimum of 15.6 seconds to get to 100 Energy with the new Smack Downs (13 usages), and that’s without any lag and with milisecond-perfect execution.
As a “reward”, you will deal more damage, but you won’t be the super fast charge-fire-charge-fire Stone Edge cannon we expected Tyranitar to be. We just want to re-emphasize that Tyranitar is not “ruined” by this change, it’s simply properly balanced now.
Here’s how Tyranitar’s move sets look now in terms of Cycle DPS and TTFA (Time to First Activation):
