Get Engaged or Married at GO Fest 2024: Niantic offers Trainers a special Pokémon GO Engagement Experience

We never expected to write a news item about this, but… Niantic is encouraging couples that are planning to get engaged or married at GO Fest to let them know in advance, so that they can help make it extra special!

Each year, there is always a handful of couples that met through Pokémon GO, and who decide to get engaged, or to get married, at a GO Fest event.

This year, Niantic is offering official support for couples who are quick about it, and who want to make their experience even more special!

Pokémon GO Engagement Experience is a completely free special experience that will be available at Pokémon GO Fest NY and Madrid for love-struck couples that are planning to ask the question, or maybe tie the knot, at those events.

Couples can reserve this electrifying experience and celebrate their love alongside friends, family, and fellow Trainers. Niantic will provide:

  • a dedicated photographer to capture the perfect shot,
  • special event access,
  • and a gift to make your heart flutter.

Trainers are encouraged to email Niantic at [email protected] to learn more and make your love story a legendary one. If you are serious about this, do not wait, email immediately, there will probably be more interest than you expect!

The official clarification has been shared by Niantic:

  • Pokémon GO Proposals is a free add-on experience limited to a small number of Trainers, and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
  • It is not a Pokémon GO Fest ticket, and the experience is available only to Trainers who have purchased tickets for Pokém on GO Fest NY and/or Madrid 2024.
  • Selection is not guaranteed and is subject to Niantic’s sole discretion.
  • All photography will take place on Randall’s Island in New York and Parques Juan Carlos I in Madrid.
  • Trainers must provide their Trainer name and email associated with their Pokémon GO account in advance for Niantic to verify existing ticket purchases.
  • Participation in the experience is subject to the Niantic Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and participants may be required to sign an additional release.
