Current Pokémon GO Field Research Tasks and Rewards (September 2023)

A complete guide to Pokémon GO’s currently available Field Research tasks, rewards and encounters. Includes Pokémon encounters, Mega Energy rewards and Research Breakthrough available during the whole of the Season of Season of Adventures Abound.

Starting this Season, Field Research tasks that previously rotated on a monthly basis will now rotate Seasonally. Field Research tasks that award an encounter with Spinda will still rotate monthly.

Research Breakthrough Encounter

• From September 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to December 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
  PDT (GMT -7)
• Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Galarian Farfetch’d, Larvitar, Sableye, Bagon, Furfrou, and Goomy.

Field Research Tasks and Rewards

Pokémon encounters from Field Research tasks always feature Level 15 Pokémon, with minimum IVs set to 10/10/10, similar as in Raid or Egg encounters. Field Research encounters are unaffected by the weather.
