While a Mega-Evolved Pokémon is on the battlefield, all Trainers’ Pokémon receive an attack boost to all their attacks and gain an additional attack boost if their attack types match the Mega-Evolved Pokémon’s type(s).

Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article. That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it.

Beneficial Mega Evolutions

Since Hisuian Decidueye is a Grass and Fighting-type Pokémon, having these Megas active will give you 1 (or 2 for max level Mega) additional Candy per catch, and increase the odds to get Candy XL (high and max level Megas only).

We are focusing on Mega Pokémon which grant additional Candy, rather than focusing on those who increase your damage against H-Decidueye, because it is an easy fight regardless of which Mega you use.

Weather Effects

Weather Pro Attacker Pro Hisuian Decidueye
Sunny/Sunny Boosts Super Effective Fire type attacks Boosts Grass type moves
Partly Cloudy
Cloudy Boosts Super Effective Fairy and Poison type attacks Boosts Fighting type moves
Snow Boosts Super Effective Ice type attacks
Windy Boosts Super Effective Flying and Psychic type attacks Boosts Psychic and Flying type moves

The only weather that will boost your counters but not Hisuian Decidueyes attacks will be Snow. However, your top attackers will be using Flying -type moves, where the desirable weather could also boost Hisuian Decidueye’s potential movepool. Fear not though Trainers, as this is a Tier 3 boss, if you come well prepared with a team of top attackers this raid will not be difficult.
