Reminder: Mega-Evolved Pokémon give other Pokémon special bonuses when brought to a Raid Battle. While a Mega-Evolved Pokémon is on the battlefield, all Trainers’ Pokémon receive an attack boost to all their attacks and gain an additional attack boost if their attack types match the Mega-Evolved Pokémon’s type(s).

Beneficial Mega Evolutions
Since Hisuian Typhlosion is a Fire and Ghost-type Pokémon, having these Megas active will give you 1 (or 2 for max level Mega) additional Candy per catch, and increase the odds to get Candy XL (high and max level Megas only).
We are focusing on Mega Pokémon which grant additional Candy, rather than focusing on those who increase your damage against H-Typhlosion, because it is an easy fight regardless of which Mega you use.
Hisuian Typhlosion is a Fire and Ghost-type Pokémon. Hisuian Typhlosion is weak to Dark, Ghost, Ground, Rock, and Water-type moves. Hisuian Typhlosion has a Max CP of 3385 in Pokémon GO, it is weather boosted by Sunny and Fog weather, and it was originally found in the Johto region. Shiny Hisuian Typhlosion is available in Pokémon GO.

Weather | Pro Attacker | Pro Hisuian Typhlosion |
Sunny/Sunny | Boosts Super Effective Ground type attacks | Boosts Fire type moves |
Partly Cloudy | Boosts Super Effective Rock type attacks | – |
Cloudy | – | – |
Rainy | Boosts Super Effective Water type attacks | Boosts Electric type moves |
Snow | – | – |
Fog | Boosts Super Effective Dark and Ghost type attacks | Boosts Ghost type moves |
Windy | – | – |
The only weather that will boost your counters but not Hisuian Typhlosions attacks will be Partly Cloudy. However, your top attackers will be using Ground, Water and Dark -type moves, where the desirable weather could also boost Hisuian Typhlosion’s potential movepool. Fear not though Trainers, as this is a Tier 3 boss, if you come well prepared with a team of top attackers this raid will not be difficult.
