Trainers, Pokémon GO’s Game Master file has been updated roughly 30 hours ago, fixing hitboxes and dodge patterns for several Pokémon that are depicted as flying during the capture encounter.
Game Master changelog (changed on Saturday, 10 February 2018 00:24:00.834):
- Beedrill — dodge distance reduced from 1 to 0.25
- Zubat — dodge distance reduced from 1 to 0.25
- Magnemite — dodge distance reduced from 1 to 0.25
- Zapdos — dodge distance reduced from 1 to 0.25
- Ledyba — dodge distance reduced from 1 to 0.25
- Yanma — dodge distance reduced from 1 to 0.25
- Altaria — cylinder ground size reduced from 1.2 to 0.6
- Rayquaza
- cylinder ground size reduced from 1 to 0.3
- dodge distanced reduced from 1 to 0.25
- movement type changed from Static to Flying
There were no additional changes for other Pokémon. The dodge distance property is used to determine how far the Pokémon moves during its dodge maneuver and these changes should help reduce the number of “Magnemite-going-crazy-off-screen” incidents .
Rayquaza’s change from Static to Flying movement type was expected and already observed this weekend.
