Sleep researchers, a huge array of news has dropped for Pokémon Sleep, including the arrival of Vulpix and Ninetales, the announcement that Entei will debut in May, and so much more!
Entei Debut
Beginning in late May, 2024, Pokémon Sleep will be holding an event—Entei Research!
You can exchange samples of Entei mane that you collect during the event for Entei Incense, which you can use to research Entei’s various sleep styles!
Fire-type helper Pokémon will be particularly effective during this event, so we recommend raising your Fire-type helper Pokémon to get ready!
Fire-type helper Pokémon include:
- Charmander
- Charmeleon
- Charizard
- Growlithe
- Arcanine
- Flareon
- Cyndaquil
- Quilava
- Typhlosion
As discussed below, Vulpix and Ninetales will also debut in May as fire types!
The game will also be updated with some functions and rewards that will allow everyone—even Pokémon Sleep beginners—to research Entei’s sleep styles and befriend it more easily.
More details and the event’s start date are coming in a later update.
Vulpix & Ninetales Debut
Vulpix and Ninetales have been spotted near certain areas—maybe this is thanks to the sleep research you’ve all been conducting! It may be possible to encounter them during sleep research soon.
They will appear beginning May 6, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
Note: Vulpix Incense can be used starting from the date and time above.
They will appear at Greengrass Isle and Taupe Hollow.
Their Sleep Types will be as follows:
- Vulpix: Snoozing
- Ninetales: Snoozing
Future Features and Adjustments
An array of new features, game updates and adjustments have been announced, along with a special gift for current researchers!
Features to be implemented in the next update (partial list)
- Addition of a new item, “Fire-type Candy”. These can be exchanged for any Fire-type Pokémon’s candies.
- Adjustments to allow Pokémon with 100 Energy or more to gain a small amount of Energy from cooking
Features currently under development
- Preparation of additional Pokémon arrivals
- Entei Research event
- Summer events that allow you to get candy of various types
- A feature to help you feel closer to the Pokémon you’ve befriended (the more sleep time you have spent together, the better the effects)

- Features and balance adjustments to help Pokémon Sleep beginners progress easily in the game
