Sizeable Surprises Event runs from April 4th to April 9th 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and is focused on XXS and XXL Pokémon, with the debut of shiny Wimpod.
April Community Day Classic takes place on Sunday, April 7th, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, featuring the Rock Head Pokémon, Bagon! Evolve to Salamence that knows special move Outrage.
Pokémon GO Bug Out event focuses on Bug-type Pokémon, and this year is no exception! With increased chance to encounter shiny Combee and shiny Burmy, Trainers can enjoy increased Candy for Nice Throws or better. Bug Out event takes place in Pokémon GO from April 12 through April 17, 2024.
Mega Heracross debuts in Pokémon GO during a global Raid Day event! This is an incredible opportunity to get a super strong Fighting and Bug-type attacker, and to complete your Johto Pokédex. Remember, Heracross is a region-exclusive Pokémon, and as such it was quite elusive. Mega Heracross Raid day takes place on April 13 in Pokémon GO.
April 20, 2024 2-5pm local time is Bellsprout Community Day! Enjoy 3x Stardust, increased odds of encountering shiny Bellsprout, and Victreebel can learn the new move Magical Leaf.
Pokémon GO’s Sustainability Week 2024 returns with a focus on Buddy Pokémon. Buddy Pokémon will bring presents and souvenirs more often, they will hang around on the map longer, and you will need to spend 1/2 distance to earn Hearts with them. Ah, and we have a ton of shiny Pokémon which are available!
On April 28, 2024 Cleffa Hatch Day takes place!. 2km eggs will be easier to obtain, and shiny Cleffa will be more likely to hatch than usual. There will also be free timed research available!

During April a host of exciting Pokémon will star as featured Pokémon, with a focus on Shadow Entei, Celesteela, Kartana and the debut of Mega Heracross. Celesteela and Kartana will be available shiny for the first time.

Tapu Bulu
Knows Nature's Madness
A brand new move will be added to Tapu Bulu’s imposing move pool: Nature’s Madness! In the main series it is a Fairy type attack, and in Pokémon GO it debuted last month. Nature’s Madness is an excellent move, with the following stats:
- Trainer Battles: 80 power, lower opposing Pokémon’s Defense
- Gyms and raids: 90 power
It will be available for all Tapu Bulu caught during April 2024, and will be obtainable via Elite TM after this month.
