Alakazam Raid Counters Explained

Alakazam is weak to following Types: bug, dark and ghost.

Tyranitar
But before we bug it out, we have to address the dinosaur in the room: Tyranitar. Tyranitar is a beast again Alakazam, as it takes not-very-effective damage from most of Alakazam‘s attacks, with the exception of Focus Blast fighting. Focus Blast Alakazam Raid Boss will one-shot anything that he manages to hit, so dodging is mandatory.

Scizor and Pinsir
Bugs suck. Nobody likes them, especially not Alakazam. With super effective damage, easy availability and relatively high CP, bug Type Pokémon like Pinsir and Scizor finally have a place to shine. Always go for movesets with Fury Cutter and/or X-Scissor!

Houndoom
Houndoom
is a strong contender against Alakazam as it has access to strong dark moves, deals great damage, but it can not take a hit! Be very careful, dodge a lot and get that DPS out there.

Alakazam Solo Raid Tips

Alakazam Solo Raid is not really difficult, although you have to dodge. If the boss has Focus Blast then you have to dodge or get one-shot.

Remember to use Tyranitar and your Bug crew in the first attack squad. Use Gengars and Umbreons in the second wave (if the first wave of attack fails).

Prioritize DPS over survival, it’s OK if you get knocked out fast but manage to deal a lot of damage.
