Dive into an action-packed week in Pokémon GO starting June 10th. With the Season of Shared Skies well underway and the second location GO Fest, it’s an action-packed week!
Highlights:
- Experience the Slumbering Sands event with the debut of shiny Komala!
- Get involved with the Spelunker’s Cove event which features some of the Water-type and Rock-type Pokémon from GO Fest: Madrid. For the first time, Trainers around the world will be able to encounter Shiny Crabrawler—if they’re lucky!
- GO Fest season is here, with the second location event taking place in Madrid.
- Battle enthusiasts can gear up for the GO Battle League Season 19, while raiders prepare for epic confrontations with Incarnate Form Landorus, and Mega Alakazam in Mega Raids!
- And keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Shiny Shadow Raikou! There’s a plethora of adventures waiting, so trainers, gear up and set out!
The Slumbering Sands event occurs June 7-12 10:00 am to 8:00 pm local time, with a focus on sleepy Pokémon! Shiny Komala makes their debut in game, alongside the Slakoth family wearing visors.
The second in-person GO Fest occurs in Madrid, Spain, from June 14th to June 16th. Marshadow will make their debut to ticket holders via special research, along with shiny Crabrawler. Klefi and Heat Rotom will also feature!
The Spelunker’s Cove Event occurs June 15-18, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. This event features some of the Water-type and Rock-type Pokémon of Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Madrid, which will appear during this global event. Plus, for the first time, Trainers around the world will be able to encounter Shiny Crabrawler—if they’re lucky!
During each month of Pokémon GO: Shared Skies, Trainers will receive free monthly Timed Research! Be sure to regularly check the in-game Events tab for details. We already know the first part of the Research
GO Battle League: Shared Skies will start on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8).
The following will occur at the beginning of the Season.
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.

The following bonuses are specific to Shared Skies:
- One additional Special Trade per day.
- Trainers level 31 and above will have a higher chance to receive Candy XL from exploring with their buddy.
- Increased XP for the first catch of the day.
- From June 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to September 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
PDT (GMT -7) - Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Hisuian Growlithe, Furfrou, Audino, Larvitar, Jangmo-o and Axew.
**Jangmo-O can be shiny after the Global GO Fest event.
Season of Shared Skies Field Research Tasks
Field Research tasks that previously rotated on a monthly basis will now rotate Seasonally. Field Research tasks that award an encounter with Spinda will still rotate monthly. For a full list of the season field research tasks check out our list here.
