It appears that trainers in some of the early world time zones have had an issue with their Mega Rayquaza Elite Raids, in that very few have appeared, and that they all appeared for the 12:00 time slot.
A code for a free Meteorite has also been shared due to a successful TikTok promotion on social media. Read more to find out how to claim!
Yesterday Niantic had announced that Elite Raid eggs would appear from 6am, and that once an Elite Raid had been completed, that further Elite Raid eggs would not appear on those specific gyms. It seems that the Elite Raid eggs were few and far between, leading many trainers to be completely unable to complete their Timed Research before the time cut off for the Timed Research.
Trainers, we have resolved an issue limiting the availability of Mega Rayquaza Elite Raids. We are planning a make good for affected Trainers and will share more details as they become available. #PokémonGO

The availability issue has apparently been addressed for the rest of the world, with eggs appearing at more EX gyms at varying times. Let us know if you were impacted by this error! We do not know yet how Niantic intends to address this, but hopefully it will be addressed fairly and quickly.
