Mega Alakazam is a Mega raid boss in Pokémon GO. Being a pure Psychic type, Mega Alakazam is weak to the Bug, Dark and Ghost types.

Mega Alakazam has the highest ATK stat of any non-legendary mega evolution in Pokémon GO. In fact, at the time of its debut, Mega Alakazam had the highest ATK stat of any Pokémon in the game.

It is recommended to have around 3-5 trainers with strong and high-level counters to get the job done easily.

How to get Mega Alakazam?

You cannot catch Alakazam in its mega-evolved form from the raid. The mega raid boss is always catchable in its base form and as such, the CP ranges are for a regular Alakazam.

Alakazam can be caught with the following CP values:

• 1666 – 1747 CP at level 20, no weather boost
• 2083 – 2184 CP at level 25 with Windy weather boost

To get Mega Alakazam you will need to gather 200 Mega Energy. Once you have evolved an Alakazam you can use 40 Mega Energy to evolve it again, or you can wait for the cooldown period to end for a free Mega Evolution. There are different levels for Mega Pokémon, and the higher the level, the quicker the cooldown. Each new Mega Alakazam you evolve will cost 200 Mega Energy. You can walk with any Abra, Kadabra, or Alakazam to earn Mega Energy once you have evolved a Mega Alakazam previously.
