Mega Beedrill is a budget beast, boasting a bountiful Attack stat with a cheaper-than-normal 100 initial and 20 subsequent Mega Energy cost. It’s a Bug and Poison type, so many types are strong against it. Use Psychic, Fire, Rock, and types to swat this bee. Be mindful that although Psychic is super effective, Bug can hit it right back for weakness. Bee careful!
Mega Beedrill doesn’t have high bulk, so it can be beaten with 2-3 trainers, no problem. Just watch out for that massive attack stat, it rivals Mewtwo’s! Figure out its movepool from recommendations; you don’t want to bring a Mewtwo in against X-Scissor.

How to Get Mega Beedrill
Mega Beedrill rewards a regular Beedrill, which has the potential to be shiny. You’ll also be rewarded Beedrill Mega Energy depending on the raid’s speed.
Beedrill can be caught with the following CP values:
- 994 – 1054 CP, with no weather boost
- 1242 – 1318 CP, boosted by Rainy or Cloudy weather
Mega Beedrill costs 100 Mega Energy to Mega Evolve for the first time, making it one of cheapest options to Mega evolve a Pokémon. You can walk any Weedle, Kakuna or Beedrill to earn Mega Energy, as long as you have previously Mega evolved one to register it to your Mega Pokédex.
Sprites
Like all Mega Raid Bosses, you can catch the shiny version of Beedrill from a Raid. The odds of getting a shiny Beedrill are 1 in 10 Raids. Here are the sprites for normal and Mega Beedrill.
