Running from June 2 at 10:00 a.m. to September 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time, this incredible season focuses on GO Fest, Mega Pokémon, new Dynamax Pokémon, and more! Forever Forward Season kicks off with a banger, as GO Fest 2026 brings debuts of Mega Mewtwo and announces at new Mega Evolutions arriving in Pokémon GO later this year. In addition, a lot of the experimentation Scopely introduced in Memories in Motion are now being polished and refined. Let’s start with the highlights and dive into specifics.

Taking place from July 11 and 12, 2026 is Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global! Take part in this worldwide event featuring Mewtwo and Zeraora for FREE for all trainers logged in during the event. That means Special Research, additional bonuses, and an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon are available to all Trainers at no cost. Up for an even bigger adventure? There are also three in-person Pokémon GO Fest events in Tokyo, Chicago, and Copenhagen.

Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y, the Mega Evolutions of the Genetic Pokémon Mewtwo, will make their Pokémon GO debuts during Pokémon GO Fest 2026.

Dynamax Electabuzz, Dynamax Magikarp, Dynamax Feebas, and more will make their way into Max Battles throughout the Season. Keep an eye out for new Dynamax Pokémon at Power Spots.
Daily Discoveries continue with the Forever Forward season. Different days of the week will include a Daily Discovery experience. These will be active between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. local time unless otherwise stated.
Fast-Track Monday will be removed. Max Mondays will continue and will keep the following bonuses:
- One Rare Candy XL for completing in-person Max Battles.
- More Power Spots than usual will be active.
- Additional Power Spots will be active on Mondays compared to the rest of the week.
- Max Battles will rotate to feature different Dynamax Pokémon.
(*) Max Battles will be available between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time. Power Spot availability will be limited outside of Max Mondays and Max Battle Days.
A new perk is coming to Showcase Tuesday.
- PokéStop Showcases will be active on Tuesdays, featuring up to 20 different categories.
- Trainers can enter up to five PokéStop Showcases.
- More PokéStops may have PokéStop Showcases.
- Raid Bosses for five-star raids and Mega Raids will rotate at the start of the day each week.
- Raid Hours will continue to feature the five-star Raid Boss between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time.
- One Rare Candy XL for completing in-person Raid Battles.
- Spotlight Hour will return from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time!
- The maximum number of sets you can play per day will increase from five to 10—for a total of 50 battles
- Up to 4× Stardust from win rewards. (This does not include end-of-set rewards.)
- Up to two Special Trades.
- Increased chance of Lucky Trade for any trade.
- Up to -10% Stardust cost for trades.
- Two guaranteed Candy XL from trades (Trainers level 31+).
(*) These bonuses only apply to in-person trades.
- More Pokémon will appear in the wild!
- More Pokémon will appear while following a Route. Incense will attract even more Pokémon on Routes.
- Reduced distance to earn Buddy Candy while exploring Routes with your Buddy Pokémon.
- Encounter Mateo up to three times each day while on a Route.
Please note that Daily Discoveries will not be available during the week of global GO Fest, GO Wild Area, or GO Tour events.

GO Pass, a limited-time progression track, will be available during Forever Forward! Complete Pass Tasks to earn GO Points to increase your rank and earn rewards. The GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of the GO Pass, will be available for Trainers looking for upgraded rewards and faster progression.

- Increased limits on opening, receiving from PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs, and storing Gifts

A note on Seasonal Field Research tasks
During the Season of Forever Forward, most Field Research tasks will be available during the entire Season, instead of changing every month. Field Research tasks that award an encounter with Spinda will still rotate monthly. Field Research available during in-game events will replace some of these Field Research tasks.

Check out the new event calendar in game, designed to help you discover and learn about upcoming events in Pokémon GO and plan your participation in events and community meetups. The Today View has also streamlined to keep your daily goals front and centre.
PokéStop Showcases

Be on the lookout for PokéStop Showcases throughout Pokémon GO: Forever Forward. Log in weekly to find out which Pokémon you can show off.
PokéStop Showcases will be active on Tuesdays, featuring up to 20 different categories.
Themed Stickers
You’ll be able to get themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
Shop Bundles
The Pokémon GO Web Store will have new boxes during Forever Forward including bundles for Remote Raid Passes, Pokémon Storage, and Max Particles with Remote Raid Passes.
