Mega Swampert is a strong Mega Raid boss and should be tackled with 2 to 4 trainers. Mega Swampert is a Water and Ground type Pokémon whose best counters consist of Grass type Pokémon, as that’s the only thing it’s weak to, and it’s double weak at that.

How to Get Mega Swampert
You cannot catch Swampert in its mega evolved form from the raid. The mega raid boss is always catchable in its base form.
Swampert can be caught with the following CP values:
- 1622 – 1699 CP at Level 20 with no weather boost
- 2027 – 2124 CP at Level 25 with Sunny or Rainy weather boost
In order to get Mega Swampert, you will need 200 Mega Energy for the initial evolution, then 40 Mega Energy to evolve the same Swampert again in the future. Mega Energy can be obtained via Mega Swampert Raids, and once you have evolved Mega Swampert, you can earn 5 Mega Energy per candy while walking it as your buddy. You can walk any Mudkip, Marshtomp, or Swampert to earn Mega Energy, as long as you have previously evolved one to register it to your Mega Pokédex.
Sprites
Like all Mega Raid Bosses, you can catch the shiny version of Swampert from a raid.
