Pokémon GO Flying Taxi: Taken Over – Shadow Reshiram & New Rocket Lineups

Complete guide to Pokémon GO’s Flying Taxi: Taken Over event, featuring Shadow Reshiram, new Team GO Rocket lineups, new Shadow Pokémon, Frustration removal, and GO Pass rewards.

Shadow Reshiram makes its Pokémon GO debut during the Flying Taxi: Taken Over event, the latest Team GO Rocket Takeover running from Thursday, June 25, at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, June 29, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

During the event, Trainers can earn a Super Rocket Radar through the Flying Taxi GO Pass, track down Giovanni, and rescue Shadow Reshiram. Team GO Rocket Leaders and Grunts will also introduce updated lineups featuring new Shadow Pokémon, including Shadow Rookidee, Shadow Noibat, Shadow Seel, and Shadow Hoothoot.

  • Charged TM icon You can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration
  • Raid icon Pokémon caught via one-star and three-star Shadow Raids during the event will have a wider variance of Attack, Defense, and HP.

Progress through GO Pass: Flying Taxi – Taken Over to receive a Super Rocket Radar and chase down Giovanni. You can claim rewards from the GO Pass until Wednesday, July 1, at 7:59p.m. local time. The GO Pass is now the only way to earn a Super Rocket Radar.

Please note Shadow Pokémon cannot be fused with other Pokémon.

Flying Taxi GO Pass

Pokémon GO’s Flying Taxi GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe feature exclusive rewards, including encounters with event themed Pokémon, One Super Rocket Radar, Mysterious Components and Shadow Shards.

Trainers can earn GO Points by completing Pass Tasks, unlock milestone rewards through ranking up, and access premium items by upgrading to the Deluxe version via the Pokémon GO Web Store. The full rewards list will be added here once available, so be sure to check back for updates.

GO Pass Deluxe

A GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specified period. By collecting GO Points, you can increase your rank to earn rewards. Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: Flying Taxi on Tuesday, June 23, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Monday, June 29, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Additionally, from Saturday, June 27, at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, June 29, at 7:59 p.m. local time, there’s no daily limit for how many GO Points you can earn.

  • For US$4.99 or your country’s equivalent, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of the GO Pass that offers upgraded rewards and faster progression.
  • For US $6.99 or your country’s equivalent, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks to also automatically earn enough GO Points to reach Rank 7.

While progressing through the GO Pass Deluxe, you’ll be able to claim all of the rewards from both the free GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe. You can upgrade to a GO Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.

Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. Complete Field Research tasks to earn Fast TMs, Charged TMs, and Mysterious Components.
