Beedrill

Beedrill is a Tier 3 raid boss. The ideal recommended group size is 1-3 for well-prepared trainers. Make sure you are armed with the correct movesets for your counters.

Beedrill can be shiny from raids.

Beedrill can be caught in the following CP range:

  • 994 CP to 1054 CP at Level 20, no weather boost
  • 1242 CP to 1318 CP at Level 25, weather boosted during Rainy and Cloudy weather

Beedrill is a dual Bug Poison-type Pokémon. Beedrill is weak to Fire, Flying, Psychic and Rock-type moves. It takes reduced damage from Fighting, Grass, Bug, Fairy, and Poison-type moves.

Reminder: Mega-Evolved Pokémon give other Pokémon special bonuses when brought to a Raid Battle. While a Mega-Evolved Pokémon is on the battlefield, all Trainers’ Pokémon receive an attack boost to all their attacks and gain an additional attack boost if their attack types match the Mega-Evolved Pokémon’s type(s).

Beedrill Move Sets Attack icon

Beedrill has access to this set of moves as a raid boss:

Fast Moves Charge Moves
Bug Bite* Bug Arial Ace Flying
Poison Jab Poison Drill Run* Ground
Infestation Bug Sludge Bomb Poison
  X-Scissor Bug
  Fell Stinger Bug

Legacy Elite Fast and Charge Attacks can only be obtained during special events, or by using an Elite Fast TM or an Elite Charge TM. Legacy moves are marked with an asterisk (*).

Beedrill’s best moveset is Bug Bite and Sludge Bomb, with 12.30 DPS (damage per second) and 220.4 TDO (total damage output). These moves are boosted by Rain and Cloudy weather. You need an Elite Fast TM to teach Beedrill Bug Bite.

Weather Effects

Weather Pro Attacker Pro Beedrill
Sunny/Sunny Boosts Super Effective Fire type attacks
Partly Cloudy Boosts Super Effective Rock type attacks
Cloudy LVL 25 Beedrill encounter Boosts Poison type moves
Rainy LVL 25 Beedrill encounter Boosts Bug type moves
Snow
Fog
Windy Boosts Super Effective Flying and Psychic type attacks Boosts Flying type moves

As this is a Tier 3 raid, the weather will not be crucial to defeating Beedrill. If you’re looking for the Level 25 encounter you will need Rainy or Cloudy weather. Otherwise, any weather other than Snow or Fog will boost your moves, so you should defeat Beedrill with no issues!

Shiny Beedrill

Beedrill can be shiny from T3 raids, let’s take a look at the shiny! It is an awesome green colour with some stand-out blue. Definitely a shiny worth looking for.
