This Week in Pokémon GO: 19-25 September 2022

Coming this week in Pokémon GO, commencing 19th September, we have the Test Your Mettle event, and more!

Test Your Mettle Event

From September 16 – September 21, 2022, from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. local time we have the Test Your Mettle event! Mega Aggron and Togedemaru are making their debut, with Kartana and Celesteela featuring in 5 star raids.

Increased spawns of Steel-type Pokémon, including Togedemaru
Increased Candy for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws.
Increased chance to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws.

Goyang Safari Zone

Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Goyang (South Korea) takes place on Friday, September 23, 2022, to Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the beautiful Ilsan Lake Park.

Spritzee

Shiny Spritzee is being released a this Safari Zone, a gorgeous purple shiny!

GO Battle League Season 12

GO Battle League: Season of Light will start on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7)
End-of-Season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.

Spotlight Hour

Aron

Tuesday 20th September 6pm till 7pm local time we have Aron as the featured Pokémon for spotlight hour, along with a 2x Candy for catching Pokémon.

Raid Hour

Wednesday 21st September 6pm till 7pm local time Celesteela and Kartana will be appearing in raids for raid hour. Celesteela will appear in the Southern Hemisphere, Kartana will appear in the Northern Hemisphere.

September 2022 Research Breakthrough

Medicham

During the month of September, Medicham will be available as a Research Breakthrough reward encounter! In addition, Trainers will receive 1 Premium Raid Pass for every completed Research Breakthrough during the month.

Mega Raids

Aggron (Mega)

From Friday, September 16, 2022 to Tuesday, September 27, 2022 Mega Aggron will be appearing in Mega Raids.

Five Star Raids

From September 13 to September 27, 2022, Celesteela and Kartana will be in Five-Star Raids.
