The Pokémon GO Safari Zone is a special summer event in Europe, happening in select Unibail-Rodamco shopping centers and featuring regional Pokémon from all across the world:
- Oberhausen, Paris, and Barcelona on September 16
- Copenhagen and Prague on October 7
- Stockholm and Amstelveen on October 14

All seven Pokémon GO Safari Zone events will give Trainers the opportunity to catch a wide variety of Pokémon in special zones featuring Pokémon originally encountered in the Kanto and Johto regions, including some Pokémon never before encountered in Europe!
Trainers will also have the chance to obtain a special Safari Zone in-game medal:
Safari Zone Questions and Answers
Will there be regional Pokémon in Safari Zones?
Yes, there will be! All Safari Zone events are dedicated to hosting a wide variety of regional species, including those that are not available in the country where the event is hosted. For example, for European Safari Zones, it will be possible to catch Kangaskhan.
Will there be any additional content in Safari Zones?
Yes, there will be! Trainers attending these events will have the chance to participate in the following activities and revards:
- an in-game medal,
- a special 2 KM Egg with exciting rare hatches,
- all day Lures at event venues,
- opportunity to catch Kangaskhan in Europe,
- increased spawn rates of Chansey, Larvitar, Unown,
- increased chance to catch a Shiny Pikachu and a Shiny Magikarp
