Mega Lopunny is a mega evolved raid boss and the mega highlight of the Spring Into Spring event that took place in April, 2021.
Being a Normal Fighting type, its counters include strong Psychic Fighting and Fairy types such as Mewtwo, Mega Pidgeot, Conkeldurr and Gardevoir.
Under ideal conditions such as Cloudy or Windy weather and high-level counters, 3-5 Trainers can successfully complete the raid and get themselves their mega evolved Easter Bunny!
This article features the raid guide for the first Fighting type mega evolution in the game. So let’s kick off the guide without any further ado!

Mega Lopunny Top Counters
Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article.
That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it.
Let’s check out the top raid counters for Mega Lopunny:

- 1112- 1177 CP at level 20, no weather boost
- 1391- 1471CP at level 25 with Partly Cloudy or Cloudy weather boost
Mega Lopunny Moveset Analysis
Fast Moves | Charge Moves |
---|---|
|
|
Pound and Hyper Beam have STAB but you shouldn’t be worrying about them too much. The Normal moves do not deal super-effective damage to any type. Pound is honestly an underwhelming move and Hyper Beam, though capable of devastating damage, is easy to dodge.
Low Kick and Focus Blast have the same story as Pound and Hyper Beam. They gain STAB, the fast move is underwhelming and the charge move can do quite a number and is easy to dodge.
Fire Punch can be quite spammy and one should be wary of this.
It should be understood that Lopunny has a very impressive ATK stat of 282. So its moves, though decent, can deal some neat damage.
Conclusion
Mega Lopunny will have the highest Normal type DPS on its release and its Fighting type performance would be kind of similar to Shadow Machamp. So while Mega Lopunny doesn’t really have the best moves, one shouldn’t take this fighting bunny for granted. At the end of the day, Mega Lopunny is definitely a Pokémon that deserves your attention.
Happy raiding, everyone! 🙂
