Community Day has always been a redemption arc for several Pokémon, with the popular event propelling them to the top levels of relevance in the PvP and/or PvE meta. In fact, Pseudo Legendaries like Metagross (Meteor Mash) and Hydreigon (Brutal Swing) have literally gone from zero to hero in Pokémon GO via their exclusive moves.
But if you trace the long history of Community Days, the featured Pokémon has seldom had a massive impact on the Raids scene. A few names that come to mind include Metagross, Hydreigon, Rhyperior (Rock Wrecker), and Garchomp (Earth Power), along with the starter Pokémon trios with Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Hydro Cannon, but even for them, only some got to the heights of PvE dominance.
The June 2026 Community Day features Baxcalibur, the Dragon/Ice type Pseudo Legendary from the Paldea Region. This Godzilla-inspired Pokémon gains access to its signature move, Glaive Rush, in the event, and with Bax’s high stats and Glaive Rush’s majestic power, this beast is all set to be a boon to the Raids meta.
My colleague from GO Hub, Raj1729, has laid out an excellent analysis detailing why Baxcalibur is a must-have Pokémon for your team. With Glaive Rush, Baxcalibur becomes a phenomenal Dragon-type attacker, with Ice Fang as the Fast Attack proving to be particularly lethal. After all, it’s a huge perk against those typical Dragon Raids Bosses double-weak to Ice!
The writer mentions, “Baxcalibur with Glaive Rush delivers performance that is comparable with Top-5 Dragon raid attackers, making it a genuinely viable and impressive choice for raid teams.”

So, it’s quite obvious that Baxcalibur has cemented itself as one of the best Community Day grabs for usage in Raids.
However, there’s more… This is just the tip of the iceberg, and not the icing on the cake. Okay, enough of my icy jokes now, but there’s something on the horizon that actually establishes Baxcalibur as the best community day for raids!

You aren’t seeing things, Mega Baxcalibur cements itself as the overall best Dragon type in Pokémon GO.
With Super Mega Raids rolling out Legends: Z-A Mega Evolutions, it’s only a matter of time until Mega Baxcalibur makes its chilling presence in the game. Be it Ice Fang or Dragon Breath, Mega Baxcalibur is going to be one of the defining Dragons, overtaking the famed Eternatus and Mega Rayquaza. And yes, even its Dragon/Ice arch-rival, Black Kyurem, is left far behind.
The secret sauce to Mega Baxcalibur’s success is, obviously, its Community Day exclusive move, Glaive Rush.

Glauve Rush is an inductee in the Pokémon GO Charged Attack Hall of Fame, and its impressive numbers make Mega Baxcalibur a true monster.
Mega Baxcalibur will be excellent in soloing Raid Bosses, and while it does amazing with Party Power (with the 0.5s Fast Attack Dragon Breath in tow), Eternatus fares better with Party Power, and Mega Rayquaza’s boosts are more handy since Mega Bax only offers boosts while on the battlefield, while Mega Ray continues to do so even when it faints.
With Glaive Rush establishing itself as such a stellar move, one has to wonder how Mega Baxcalibur performs on an overall, generic basis in Pokémon GO. Let’s find out!

There you have it, Mega Baxcalibur is literally one of the top 5 in Pokémon GO. It’s insane that a Community Day is rewarding us with this powerhouse, giving you ample opportunities to hunt for the 100 IV and even get the move (Glaive Rush) for free, with no TMs required. This is definitely easier than Mega Lucario Z and the Legendaries/Shadows in the list.
Both Dragon and Ice form a formidable offensive duo, and the fact that they synergize with each other against Dragon Raid Bosses, while also boasting an incredible damage output in neutral weather, is tremendous for any player.
Dragapult doesn’t have a Mega Evolution, and with Inteleon ending the starter Community Day haul until Gen 10 is revealed, you can rest assured that Baxcalibur Community Day is the best Pokémon GO has featured yet.
All the best, Trainers! Be safe, stay hydrated, and have fun!
