Best Mega Pokémon against Xurkitree
Primal Groudon and Mega Garchomp are by far the best (and probably only) Mega and Primal Pokémon you will want against Xurkitree. Xurkitree is a pure Electric type, and having Ground-based Mega Pokémon will increase your damage output dramatically. Mega Rayquaza is always a good general option, hence we’re including it here.

Conclusion
Xurkitree had the potential to be kind of a big deal. With one of the highest attack stats in Pokémon GO, it had a huge chance of being a meta changing Electric type. Sadly however, whilst it got the fast move it needed, it didn’t get access to Wild Charge as a fast move meaning it just doesn’t pack enough punch.
If it had Wild Charge it would have been out ALL other Electric types, including shadows and Mega Pokémon! It didn’t even get it’s second choice move, sadly meaning for now, it isn’t breaking any barriers. That may change in the future with move updates, so it could be worth getting a good one to potentially TM later!
