Manchester United were so boring that a fan started playing Pokémon GO mid game

We’ve all had our fair share of good and bad moments with Pokémon GO, but sometimes you just have to get that last raid in for the day, regardless of where you are. It seems that we are not the only ones thinking like this, as a Manchester United fan was caught playing Pokémon GO in a stadium, while watching the football match!

Don’t trust our word for it, take a look for yourself:

In all seriousness, we do understand this move, we truly do. Mega Garchomp Raid Day was happening at the same time as the match was, and Manchester United was doing quite well – the match ended with 1:0 for United.

We can also see that the fan (a Trainer in disguise) is using proper counters – or at least good enough counters. Walrein wouldn’t be our first pick, but given the percentage of Garchomp’s health missing, we don’t see an issue here.

Kudos to this Pokémon GO Trainer, we hope he got a shiny Garchomp throughout the day! In other news, it seems that a ton of our readers weren’t able to snag a Shiny during the event:

If you have Twitter (or X as they call it now), do share your experience in the poll above – we’re quite curious to see if Niantic did a good job with the “increased shiny rate” or not.

We are quite impressed with the general feel of these “remote raid friendly” Raid Day events, and we hope player participation during Mega Garchomp Raid Day proves that Niantic should raise the Remote Raids limit more often than they currently do.

With that being said, good luck, and we hope this article brought a smile to your face! We recently talked with fine folks from the PokéDoku team, so take a look at that article if you want to try a new daily puzzle type of game.
