Notes on Raikou, Entei and Suicune
Raikou, Entei, and Suicune are Special Pokémon. You can have only one Special Pokémon on your team, but it is possible to befriend more than one Special Pokémon.
For each species of Special Pokémon, the Nature and sub skills will be identical for the first one befriended by each researcher.
You can exchange Pokémon Materials for other items at the Event Exchange during the exchange period. You can check to see how many you have at the Event Exchange. These won’t go into your bag’s items pocket. You can obtain these only during the event.
After the event ends, you can still exchange Pokémon materials until the Event Exchange closes. You will lose any remaining Pokémon materials once the exchange period ends.
How to Get Pokémon Materials
- Sleep Research in the Event Areas: This is the main way to get Pokémon materials. Note: You cannot get any of these items during the second sleep research of the day. The number of Pokémon materials you can get depends on the species of Pokémon and the sleep styles you find them in.
- Limited-Time Missions: You can get Pokémon materials by completing limited-time missions.
- Legendary Research Bundles Vol. 1 and Legendary Last Chance Bundles Vol. 1
- Research Community: In rare cases, you can get Pokémon materials from other researchers in your Research Community who are also participating in the event. The higher your closeness with a researcher, the more likely you are to receive Pokémon materials from them.
- The following Limited-Time Special Gift will be distributed only to those who do not have the Research Community button on their Main Menu at the beginning of the event’s first week and again at the beginning of the second week: Pokémon materials ×70. Notes: This applies to players who log in during the event period. Researchers who have the Research Community button on their Main Menu are not eligible to receive this gift. If your gift hasn’t arrived, please restart the app and then check your Gift Box.
You can exchange Pokémon materials for the following:
- Raikou Incense
- Entei Incense
- Suicune Incense
- Premier Biscuits
- Main Skill Seed
- And more
Raikou Incense, Entei Incense, Suicune Incense, and Premier Biscuits will be added at a slightly lower exchange rate during the second week of the event.
Pokémon Incense
If you set a Pokémon Incense on the stump labelled “Incense” next to your tent on the home screen before you begin sleep tracking, you will for sure be able to meet the applicable Pokémon during your next sleep research.
Note: Incense you have set still counts as being inside your bag’s items pocket until it’s consumed during sleep research.
Raikou Incense, Entei Incense, and Suicune Incense can also be used in the following areas only during the event period:
- Greengrass Isle
- Cyan Beach
- Taupe Hollow
- Old Gold Power Plant
- Greengrass Isle (Expert)
After the event period has ended, they can only be used in the areas where the applicable Pokémon appear. They will remain in your bag’s items pocket and can also be used after the event has ended. You can have up to one each of Raikou Incense, Entei Incense, and Suicune Incense in your bag’s items pocket at one time.
Premier Biscuits
Premier Biscuits can be used during the event with Raikou, Entei, and Suicune during this event. One Premier Biscuit increases Raikou’s, Entei’s, or Suicune’s friendship points by 6.
After the Event Exchange closes, any Premier Biscuits you have will be automatically converted into Great Biscuits.
Available starting the first week of the event, Legendary Research Bundles Vol. 1 S, M, and L include items that are good for befriending and raising Raikou, Entei, and Suicune during the Raikou, Entei, and Suicune Research event.
For the second week of the event, Legendary Last Chance Bundles Vol. 1 S, M, and L will also be available.
Pokémon materials—which are included in each bundle—can be traded at the Event Exchange for items such as Raikou Incense, Entei Incense, Suicune Incense, and Premier Biscuits.
