The newest datamine of Pokémon GO has revealed some interesting teasers for things that could be coming soon, including new Mega Pokemon, new moves, and new event badges marked for March 2022. Let’s dive in!

I feel like this is more appropriate with this post than most like this, as there are things in this article that could very well change by the time this content is released.
New Pokémon
As expected, Oricorio was added before the Festival of Colours began, but we also have the surprise addition of Tapu Lele. With the next Legendary Pokémon not announced, could we see Tapu Lele in raids as part of the Lush Jungle event? We’ve already taken a deep dive into Tapu Lele in PvP, and it looks likely it may be coming soon.
New Assets
The exciting appearances here are the appearance of three brand new Megas: Mega Kangashkan, Mega Latias, and Mega Latios.
These assets take the form of ‘Mega Portraits’, so it doesn’t mean they are coming to raids any time soon, but it is exciting nonetheless. Mega Latias and Mega Latios could potentially be our first Legendary Mega Pokémon in Pokémon GO.
Also included in these new assets are two new event badges as shown above. There are also three event badges marked “03.22” which we don’t have assets for currently.
New Move Sound Effects
New move sound effects for Rollout, Luster Purge, and Mist Ball have been added.
- Mist Ball is the signature move of Latias.
- Luster Purge is the signature move of Latios.
- Rollout is a Rock type attack that in the main series lasted for several turns in battle, progressively becoming more damaging with each use. There are a lot of different Pokémon that can potentially use Rollout, making it a little trickier to pin down as a sneaky peek, but interestingly it can be learnt by Kanto Golem. Many are speculating that the next Community Day could be Geodude, sticking with the Alola theme of the season.
New Quests
