Mega Latias is a Dragon and Psychic type Mega Legendary Raid boss. Optimal raid counters will be Ice, Bug, Dark, Ghost, Fairy, and Dragon type Pokémon.
Depending on your levels and counters, we would recommend 6 – 8 Trainers who are high level, and more if you don’t have optimal teams. Make sure you have the right counters with the right moves, and be organized with your Mega evolutions.
This guide will tell you how to beat this Mega Legendary, as well as its optimal stats, moves, and CP range.

How to Get Mega Latias
You cannot catch Latias in its mega evolved form from the raid. The mega raid boss is always catchable in its base form, and as such, the CP ranges are for a regular Latias.
Latias can be caught with the following CP values:
- 1921– 2006 CP no weather boost
- 2402 – 2507 CP boosted by Windy weather boost
In order to get Mega Latias, you will need 300 Mega Energy for the initial evolution. Once you Mega Evolve a Pokémon for the first time, Mega Energy will no longer be required for that specific Pokémon to Mega Evolve again. Instead, the Pokémon will become exhausted after its Mega Evolution and need to rest before being Mega Evolved again. In other words, there is now a cooldown period after you Mega Evolve a Pokémon. You can level up your Mega Pokémon in order to decrease this cooldown period.
