Pokémon GO Sweet Discoveries

The Sweet Discoveries event brings with it the debut of Applin, increased shiny odds for Skwovet, Shiny Delibird and Shiny Cherubi, the introduction of apples on the map, a new berry bonus for catching Pokémon, and more!

Sweet Discoveries runs from Thursday, April 24, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time

Applin Debut

The following Pokémon first discovered in the Galar region will make their Pokémon GO debuts:

Applin is a Grass and Dragon type Pokémon known as the Apple Core Pokémon. You can use 200 Applin Candy and 20 Tart Apples to evolve Applin into Flapple, or you use can use 200 Applin Candy and 20 Sweet Apples to evolve Applin into Appletun.

Applin does also have another evolution first discovered in the Paldea region, Dipplin, that can evolve into Hydrapple. Currently Applin cannot evolve into Dipplin or Hydrapple.

Beginning during the Sweet Discoveries event, you may discover apples in the wild, if you’re very lucky. Tapping on them will award Sweet Apples, Tart Apples, or encounters
with Pokémon—including Applin!

Apples will also have an increased chance of appearing at Mossy Lure Modules. You’ll need Sweet Apples and Tart Apples to evolve Applin to Appletun and Flapple, so be sure to click on them when you see them!
