PokéXciting! is coming to Kuala Lumpur for the first stop of Pokémon’s 30th anniversary tour. The free event takes place at KLCC Park from September 12 to 13, 2026.
For Pokémon GO players, the main attraction is the debut of PokéXciting! Pikachu in a turquoise costume, alongside two separate GO Stamp Rallies, Kuala Lumpur-exclusive bonuses, Gigantamax Battles, research, and special encounters.
Admission is free and open to everyone and the Pokémon GO event gameplay area is limited to KLCC Park.
PokéXciting! Pikachu (Turquoise)
PokéXciting! Pikachu makes its Pokémon GO debut in Kuala Lumpur wearing a turquoise costume inspired by the local region.
The turquoise PokéXciting! Pikachu will appear in the wild during the event and will continue appearing in Kuala Lumpur for one month after the event concludes.
Trainers can also encounter PokéXciting! Pikachu (Turquoise) with a Kuala Lumpur Location Background by participating in either of the two GO Stamp Rallies at KLCC Park.
GO Stamp Rallies
Two separate GO Stamp Rallies will be available at KLCC Park: the long-term Cross-Region GO Stamp Rally and a local five-stamp Kuala Lumpur rally.
Cross-Region GO Stamp Rally
Kuala Lumpur hosts one of the five stamps included in the PokéXciting! Cross-Region GO Stamp Rally.
Visit the participating PokéStop in front of the Esplanade at KLCC Park and collect the Kuala Lumpur stamp to receive an encounter with PokéXciting! Pikachu (Turquoise) featuring a local Location Background.

Available from September 12, 2026, until September 11, 2029.

Regional GO Stamp Rally at KLCC Park
KLCC Park will also host its own regional GO Stamp Rally featuring five stamp designs inspired by Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, and Vileplume.
Collect all five stamps to encounter PokéXciting! Pikachu (Turquoise) with a Kuala Lumpur Location Background.

Experience Malaysia’s first-ever stunning Pokémon-themed drone show illuminating the skyline behind the Petronas Twin Towers. Get ready to be amazed as countless synchronized lights bring Pokémon to life right before your eyes.
- Meet “PokéXciting! Pikachu”: To make this celebration even more special, a unique companion named “PokéXciting! Pikachu” will be visiting each city! Surprisingly, this Pikachu will feature a different color costume unique to each city. For Kuala Lumpur, it will debut in a vibrant Turquoise! What color variations will the other cities be…? Stay tuned for future announcements!
- High-Voltage Night Stage: When the sunsets, get ready for special stage shows featuring “PokéXciting! Pikachu”! With danceable beats and a spectacular production, the energy at the venue is guaranteed to be through the roof.
- Merchandise: Special merchandise featuring the Kuala Lumpur edition of “PokéXciting! Pikachu” will be available for purchase!
- Pokémon GO Collaboration: Get ready, Trainers! “PokéXciting! Pikachu” is also scheduled to appear in-game! Make sure your smartphones are fully charged.
Kuala Lumpur is the first stop on the five-city PokéXciting! Pokémon 30th Anniversary tour, which will later visit Taipei, Singapore, Manila, and Bangkok. Trainers travelling between participating cities can also take part in the separate PokéXciting! Cross-Region GO Stamp Rally.
