Falinks Raid Guide

Posted in

Note: Falinks will not be available via raids, at least during the Ultra Bonus 3 event, due to it causing visual problems. It should appear more in the wild, though, and they’re still available in the “Win 2 Raids” task.

Hey Trainers,

Falinks will be a Fighting type T3 raid boss during Ultra Bonus 3; Sword and Shield. Falinks does not currently evolve to or from anything.

Falinks

Falinks is decently bulky, so you need a little preparation before taking it on. Being a T3 raid boss, you cannot just coast through it unless you’re quite a high level. During the Ultra Bonus 3 event, it’ll also be available in the wild, if rarely, and available via a field research task.

It’s a pure Fighting type, so it’s weak to Psychic, Flying, and Fairy types. It resists Bug, Dark and Rock.

Top Counters

Shadows won’t be listed, due to being large investments. If you have any of the below as shadows, they will be better options than their regular forms.

Moveset

Fast Moves Charge Moves
  • Counter Fighting
  • Rock Smash Fighting
  • Superpower Fighting
  • Brick Break Fighting
  • Megahorn Bug

All types Falinks is weak to resist Fighting, so it’s a pretty safe raid. Be cautious of Megahorn if you’re using Psychic types, however.

Conclusion

Falinks is a decent challenge to beat, with pretty strong bulk and being a T3. Its movepool isn’t the best, and there are a lot of better Fighting options for both raids and PvP. But they’re so cute!!! It’s one of my favourites, and I will force it into my PvP teams.

ahem, back on topic. With all the shiny raidables and the big ol’ dogs as legends, it’s truly a solo challenge mainly for Falinks fanatics and people trying for the Rising Star badge. But still, these troopers are a welcome addition to GO. For me, anyway.

Stay safe, trainers!

I enjoy drinking coffee and going for walks if I can muster the energy. I mostly spend time shiny hunting in mainline Pokémon games. My favourite Pokémon is Falinks, and I'm still in disbelief that it was added to GO like a year or two early. Empoleon is a close second, though.
