Trainers, a special Friendship themed mini-event is taking place in Pokémon GO this weekend, from February 8 to February 11, 2019! The event bonuses include: Friendship increases twice as fast all weekend, Double Candy received for each trade and Trades need only half the regular amount of Stardust!

Curiously, this mini-event sits on top of two already running events, which means you should be able to get a handful of Luckies from trades:
- The Lunar New Year 2019 celebration which increases the odds of getting a Lucky Pokemon from Trades (lasts until Feb. 13)
- The shiny Meltan mini-event which lasts until March 4 and doesn’t directly benefit you in any way (except trading it for a Lucky), but it’s a nice opportunity to spend some time with players who own a Nintendo Switch 😉
The Friendship weekend is a perfect opportunity to level up friendships with trainers you haven’t seen in a while or to just storm through the remaining days with your Ultra Friends on your way to BFFs.
