Everything you need to know about the event Pokémon GO’s Blaze New Trails Event, all in one place. It’s time to experience Pokémon GO in a whole new way. Routes are finally being released to Pokémon GO, and they are bringing Zygarde along with them!

Event Bonuses

The following Bonuses will be available during the event

  • General icon Routes debut in Pokémon GO!
  • General icon Zygarde debuts in Pokémon GO!
  • Candy icon 2/3 distance to earn Buddy Candy while exploring Routes with your Buddy
  • Shiny icon Increased chance to encounter shiny Yungoos

Zygarde Debuts in Pokémon GO

Zygarde, the Order Pokémon, will make its Pokémon GO debut!

Zygarde

Zygarde is a Dragon and Ground type Pokémon first discovered in the Kalos Region, and has three forms. Complete forme, 50% forme, and 10% forme depending on how many Zygarde cells you have collected. A new item will be introduced as well, a Zygarde cube, these will hold your Zygarde cells! You may encounter Zygarde cells when you’re walking a Route!


Special Research

You will be able to encounter a Zygarde in it’s 10% in the special research “From A to Zygarde” that will be available during the event. You can find all of the Zygarde Special Research tasks, rewards and texts inside that article.

Make a Route

Creating a Route in Pokémon GO

  1. Choose a PokéStop or Gym to be your starting point.
  2. Hit record to begin mapping your Route.
  3. Fill out some info about your Route, then submit it for review.
  4. Once accepted, Trainers can follow your Route!

Exploring a Route

  1. Check the Route tab from the Nearby menu to see local Routes.
  2. Choose one that catches your eye.
  3. Follow the Route and enjoy exploring!

Zygarde Cells

Zygarde Cells

  1. Keep an eye out while you’re exploring a Route—you might come across a Zygarde Cell!
    Zygarde Cells are the components that make up Zygarde, the Order Pokémon.
  2. You can collect Zygarde Cells in your Zygarde Cube and use these cells to change Zygarde’s form.
  3. Encounter Zygarde in the Special Research story “From A to Zygarde”!
