Pokémon Sleep researchers! Smart Watch compatibility has been announced, alongside ‘Gifts for Everyone’, which involves rewards for current, and returning players. Let’s get into it!
Gifts for Everyone
Pokémon Sleep is giving out a Returning Researcher Bonus to players who are coming back to play Pokémon Sleep after being away for a while.
In addition to special gifts—including 10 Poké Biscuits—each qualifying researcher will get perks, such as a hungry Pokémon showing up during sleep research!
And as a token of our gratitude, there will also be a special gift for all the researchers who have been playing Pokémon Sleep regularly!
Returning Researcher Bonus
Qualifying Researchers.
This applies to all researchers who meet the following two requirements:
- Created an account prior to 2024/08/23 23:00 (an account is “created” when the user accepts the Terms of Use).
- Did not conduct sleep research between 2024/08/23 23:00 and 2024/09/23 22:59.

- 23rd September 2024 23:00 to 23rd October 2024 22:59.

Notes
- Perks do not apply to sleep tracking during the tutorial.
- This can be received at the same time as the Novice Researcher Bonus.
- If Friend Incense is used and the number of hungry Pokémon that would be drawn by effects like event bonuses are greater than the total number of Pokémon that appear during sleep research, the Friend Incense will be returned to your bag’s items pocket.
- Perks will trigger regardless of which site you conduct your sleep research in.
- Perks will not apply to sleep research during maintenance.
Smart Watch Compatibility
As of , it’s now possible to conduct sleep research in Pokémon Sleep using sleep data tracked on certain smartwatches.
New achievements you can get by registering sleep data from your smartwatch have also been added.

Notes
- You cannot register sleep data that you started tracking before linking Pokémon Sleep with Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android).
- Sleep data tracked via smartwatch that has been manually edited may not be eligible to register in Pokémon Sleep.
- If you have already paired with Pokémon GO Plus +, you can still pair with a smartwatch and maintain the pairing of both devices.
- If this function doesn’t work even after waiting, please restart the app.
