Frequently Asked Questions
What are Pokémon GO Max Mondays?
Max Mondays are part of the Daily Discoveries schedule. Additional Power Spots become active, giving Trainers more opportunities to take part in Max Battles and encounter Dynamax Pokémon.
What time does Max Monday take place?
Max Battles are available from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time. Max Monday is no longer limited to the old 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. event window.
Why is there no regular Max Monday on November 9?
Daily Discoveries are paused from November 9–15 during Into the Wild and GO Wild Area. This does not mean Max Battles are unavailable: those events have their own featured Pokémon and schedules.
Which Pokémon are featured in November?
The regular schedule features Dynamax Machop on November 2, Dynamax Espurr on November 23 and Dynamax Cryogonal on November 30. November 16 falls within Dynamax Trails, which brings back a wider selection of previously released Dynamax Pokémon.
How do I find Max Battles?
Look for active Power Spots on the in-game map. Check the Pokémon and battle details at each Power Spot before joining.
Can I join Max Battles remotely?
Yes. Remote participation requires a Remote Raid Pass as well as the required Max Particles. You can join through an invitation or an eligible battle shown in your friends list.
Do Max Mondays require a special pass?
In-person Max Battles use Max Particles rather than a Raid Pass. The amount required depends on the battle. Joining remotely also requires a Remote Raid Pass.
Can the featured Pokémon be shiny?
Yes, if the Pokémon’s base form can be shiny, then Dynamax Pokémon featured during Max Monday can be shiny as well. Shiny availability does not automatically mean that Max Monday offers increased shiny odds.
