Pokémon Sleep: Holiday 2025 Double Dream Shard Research

The Holiday 2025 Double Dream Shard Research event is a week-long event is a special time when Ice-type Pokémon are particularly active. To commemorate Togedemaru’s debut, Steel-type Pokémon will be particularly active!

During this event, certain Pokémon—such as Cetitan—will appear on Greengrass Isle. You may even meet Spheal wearing a holiday wreath or a Shiny Pokémon!

There will be various other bonuses as well, including opportunities to get double or more Dream Shards during sleep research and use the Candy Boost function.

Additionally, Dream Gifts will be delivered to Snorlax’s side on December 24th and December 25th.

Holiday 2025 Event

  • Event Period: Monday December 22nd at 4:00 a.m. to Monday December 29th (Mon) at 4:59 a.m.
  • Event Areas: Greengrass Isle and Greengrass Isle (Expert). During this event, the expert mode site will have the same event-exclusive appearance as the normal mode site.
  • Mission Period: Monday December 22nd at 4:00 a.m. to Monday December 29th (Mon) at 4:59 a.m.

Bonuses

The following bonuses will be active during all days of the event:

  • Event icon Each time an Ice or Steel type helper Pokémon brings you ingredients as it regularly would, it will have 1 extra.
  • Event icon The chance of any Ice- or Steel-type helper Pokémon’s main skill being triggered will be multiplied by 1.25.
  • Event icon Main skill levels of Ice or Steel type helper Pokémon will be boosted by 3 when they trigger.
  • Event icon Dream Shards from sleep research ×2
  • Event icon Main skill Dream Shard Magnet S effect ×2
  • Event icon The Snorlax in the event areas will have Rawst Berries (Ice type) and Belue Berries (Steel type) set as 2 of its favourite Berries. The other Berry is chosen at random.
  • Pokemon Encounter icon Certain Pokémon will be more likely to appear during sleep research.
  • Pokemon Encounter icon A few Pokémon of different sleep types will appear during sleep research regardless of your sleep type for that day.
  • Candy icon The limited-time Candy Boost function will be available.

Expert Mode Bonuses

If you participate in the event in an expert area, the bonuses will change as follows:

  • Event icon If you participate in the event in an expert area, Snorlax’s main favorite Berry for the week will be Rawst Berries, and 1 of Snorlax’s sub-favorite Berries will be Belue Berries. The other Berry will be random.

Featured Pokémon

Pokémon Debuts

Three new Pokémon will debut during the event, and are available after December 22nd, 2025, at 3:00 p.m:

  • Togedemaru Steel
  • Cetoddle Ice
  • Cetitan Ice

All can be discovered during Slumbering sleep.

They can appear in the following research areas:

  • Greengrass Isle: Togedemaru and Cetoddle.
  • Snowdrop Tundra: Togedemaru, Cetoddle, and Cetitan.
  • Old Gold Power Plant: Togedemaru
  • Amber Canyon: Togedemaru
  • Greengrass Isle (Expert): Togedemaru, Cetoddle, and Cetitan.

Togedemaru will have a brand new Main Skill, Nuzzle (Energizing Cheer S).

It will restore Energy to one random Pokémon on your team. If you’re lucky, that Pokémon will also obtain a main skill activation bonus.

  • The probability of gaining a main skill activation bonus varies depends on the target Pokémon’s chance of triggering their main skill.
  • When a Pokémon gains a main skill activation bonus, it can trigger its main skill one extra time, separate from its usual help.
  • Pokémon who already have the main skill activation bonus cannot receive the bonus again.
  • The main skill activation bonus will be removed if you conduct sleep research or when you move to another site.

Featured Pokémon

The following Pokémon are more likely to appear during this event:

  • Much Greater Appearance Rate: Spheal (Holiday), Togedemaru, Cetoddle, and Cetitan.
  • Greater Appearance Rate: Pikachu (Holiday), and Eevee (Holiday).
  • Slightly Greater Appearance Rate: Vulpix (Alolan Form), Ninetales (Alolan Form), Delibird, Spheal, Sealeo, Walrein, Snover, Abomasnow, Glaceon, Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot.

Note: You can encounter all the Pokémon with greater appearance rates in the areas where the current event is taking place.

Holiday Spheal

To commemorate Holiday 2025 — Double Dream Shard Research, Spheal will be appearing wearing a holiday wreath.

  • Pokémon Incense for Spheal (Holiday) can be used starting December 22nd at 3:00 p.m..
  • It’s also possible to encounter festively dressed Pokémon that appeared during previous holiday events.

Festive Gifts

Bonus Sleep Points

To celebrate the holiday season, bonus sleep points are being to each researcher. They will be available to claim from December 25th, 2025, at 3:00 a.m. to January 12th, 2026, at 4:00 a.m.

It will be a massive 1225 Sleep points!

You must log in during the distribution period to claim this gift.
You can accept the gift by tapping the gift box icon in the upper right of the in-game menu.
If your gift has not arrived yet, please restart the app and then check your Gift Box.

Limited Time Dream Gift

A limited-time Dream Gift will appear by Snorlax’s side on  and .

The gift lineup is the same for all researchers. Each day, the contents of the Dream Gift will be chosen randomly from the lineup. That means that all researchers who log in on all applicable days will get the same rewards by the end.

If you don’t accept a Dream Gift from the home screen after logging in, it will be sent to your Gift Box (from the home screen, go to the Main Menu then tap the gift box icon on the upper right).

You can’t receive Dream Gifts in the following cases. (They won’t be sent to your Gift Box):

  • For days when you didn’t log in.
  • During the tutorial.

Limited-Time Candy Boost

Using Candy Boost lets your helper Pokémon get 2 times the usual amount of EXP from candies in exchange for using 5 times the usual amount of Dream Shards per candy. This function can be used with up to 500 candies per day.

You can freely toggle this function ON or OFF by tapping the button in the upper right of the Level Up screen. Feel free to use Candy Boost when you want to level up your helper Pokémon.

Note: This function will be set to ON by default during the event.

Notes

  • 【Important】 Each day of the event rolls over at 4:00 a.m.
  • After the event, the following Pokémon will no longer appear during sleep research conducted on Greengrass Isle, but they can still appear on Greengrass Isle until  if you use each Pokémon’s incense. Vulpix (Alolan Form), Ninetales (Alolan Form), Sealeo, Walrein, Snover, Abomasnow, Pawmo, Pawmot, and Cetitan.
  • Event bonuses apply only to sleep data tracked during the event.
  • If you wait to report sleep data tracked before the event began and select “Review Later” during the event, event bonuses will not be applied.
  • If you wait to report sleep data tracked during the event and select “Review Later” after the event has ended, event bonuses will be applied.
  • Event bonuses do not apply to sleep tracking during the tutorial.
  • If overlapping events trigger more than one of the same type of bonus, the larger bonus will be applied.
  • Event bonuses will not raise main skill levels beyond max level. The value of the main skill displayed on the Pokémon details screen is the value before the bonus effects apply. Also, for Pokémon that were already on your team before the event started, the first time their main skill triggers during the event, in some cases, may not include the bonus effect.
  • Pokémon in holiday attire that appear during the holiday event will stop appearing during regular sleep research after the event has ended, but they will appear if you use each Pokémon’s incense. They may also appear in another event sometime.
  • Pokémon in holiday attire that appear during the holiday event cannot be evolved.
  • After the event ends, you won’t be able to use the Candy Boost function. If Candy Boost is unlocked again in another event, the amount of EXP gained and/or Dream Shard consumption may change.
  • You can’t get the limited-time Dream Gifts by logging in after the event ends.
  • Items from Dream Gifts sent to your Gift Box have expiration dates, and you won’t be able to receive them after they’ve expired.
  • Dream Gifts may be given out again sometime in the future. If they are, details—such as their contents and availability period—may change.
