Pokémon Sleep: New Moon Day (June 2026)

The New Moon Day event is back for June 2026 in Pokémon Sleep. This is the fourteenth New Moon Day event, and the sixth of 2026! This event is held once a month for a total of three days—on the day of the new moon and the days before and after it. This event will have special appearance rates and it will be harder for Pokémon to become full.

Every time you encounter a Pokémon with a special appearance rate during your New Moon Day sleep research, its friendship points will increase by 3 even if you don’t give it Poké Biscuits.

New Moon Day Details

The next Good Sleep Day event will be held from June 14th, to June 17th. You can take part in this event in any research area.

Bonuses

  • Pokemon Encounter icon Mythical Pokémon will have a special appearance rate
  • Pokemon Encounter icon Pokémon won’t get full easily during the first snack time of the day.
  • Pokemon Encounter icon Every time you encounter a Pokémon with a special appearance rate during your New Moon Day sleep research, its friendship points will increase by 3 even if you don’t give it Poké Biscuits
  • Shiny icon You may even meet Shiny Pokémon!
  • Pokemon Encounter icon Only one Pokémon with special appearance rates can appear during the first sleep research of the day, and none will appear during the second sleep research of the day.

Featured Pokémon: Mew and Darkrai

Mew

Mew is a Psychic type Pokémon available to research during Snoozing Sleep. Mew is a Mythical Pokémon. You can befriend only one of each Mythical Pokémon species. Mew’s specialty is All, possessing characteristics of all the following specialties: Berries, ingredients, and skills.

From now on, Mew will appear on New Moon Day. Gain Mew’s trust and use Eureka Seeds (Mew) to help Mew develop a variety of new powers.

It’s Main Skill is Versatile, which triggers the effect of your set main skill. Additionally, gets candy for one Pokémon on your team.

You can use Eureka Seeds (Mew) to learn or change a main skill. Once you befriend Mew, it will learn the Metronome main skill. You can use a Eureka Seed (Mew) to learn one of the following main skills at random. You can also use a Eureka Seed (Mew) at any time to change the main skill to one you’ve already learned. Even if the main skill is changed, the main skill level will not change. The chance of triggering the main skill will vary based on the main skill that is set.

Eureka Seeds (Mew)

Eureka Seed (Mew) is a special item you can receive from Mew. You can receive it when you first befriend Mew or when you max out Mew’s Friendship Points. It can be used on Mew to unlock or change its sub skill, ingredients, or main skill.

The sub skills and ingredients available when you befriend the Pokémon is different for each Mythical Pokémon. The sub skills and ingredient type available when you befriend the Pokémon and its Nature will be identical for each researcher. Mythical Pokémon are also considered Special Pokémon, and you can only have one Special Pokémon on the same team. There may be exceptions to this in the future.

Darkrai

During the New Moon Day event, you’ll be able to encounter Darkrai in any research area, regardless of your sleep type.

Darkrai is a Dark type Mythical Pokémon.

It’s Main Skill is Bad Dreams (Charge Strength M) which greatly increases Snorlax’s Strength, but at the same time, slightly reduces the Energy of helper Pokémon on your team that aren’t Dark type.

This Pokémon’s specialty is All, possessing characteristics of all the following specialties: Berries, ingredients, and skills.

Eureka Seeds (Darkrai)

Eureka Seed (Darkrai) is a special item you can receive from Darkrai. You can receive it when you first befriend Darkrai or when you max out Darkrai’s Friendship Points. It can be used on Darkrai to unlock or change its sub skill, ingredients, or main skill.

The sub skills and ingredients available when you befriend the Pokémon is different for each Mythical Pokémon. The sub skills and ingredient type available when you befriend the Pokémon and its Nature will be identical for each researcher. Notes on Special Appearance Rates

  • A special appearance rate is a bonus that gives you an opportunity to encounter Pokémon you normally wouldn’t meet.
  • During the New Moon Day event, regardless of your sleep type, you can encounter Pokémon with special appearance rates in all areas.
  • Only one Pokémon with special appearance rates can appear during the first sleep research of the day, and none will appear during the second sleep research of the day.
  • Additionally, each time you don’t encounter a Pokémon with special appearance rates during sleep research, your chances of encountering a Pokémon with special appearance rates during New Moon Day sleep research will increase a little.
  • The chances of encountering Mew and Darkrai will differ, and the chances of encountering each will increase. Note: This bonus will apply starting with this event.
  • If you encounter a Pokémon with a special appearance rate, the number of Pokémon you encounter during that sleep research will increase by one.
  • Up to a maximum of 11 Pokémon can be encountered if you also use Pokémon incense or Good Camp Tickets

Notes on the Event

  • 【Important】 Each day of the New Moon Day event rolls over at 4:00 a.m.
  • 【Important】 After the event ends, you’ll no longer be able to encounter Pokémon with special appearance rates in any area.
  • Event bonuses apply only to sleep data tracked during the event.
  • If you wait to report sleep data tracked before the event began and select “Review Later” during the event, event bonuses will not be applied.
  • If you wait to report sleep data tracked during the event and select “Review Later” after the event has ended, event bonuses will be applied.
  • Event bonuses do not apply to sleep tracking during the tutorial.
  • Event bonuses will trigger regardless of which site you conduct your sleep research in.
  • If overlapping events trigger more than one of the same type of bonus, the larger bonus will be applied.
  • If there are multiple bonuses from different events that increase your chance to encounter Shiny Pokémon and apply to the same Pokémon, the bonus with the largest effect will be applied.
  • Normally, if you conduct sleep research twice in one day and research at least 11 Pokémon in a single day, the research rewards for the eleventh and any subsequent Pokémon will be less. However, if you encounter a Pokémon with a special appearance rate, the research rewards will be less starting with the twelfth—and any subsequent—Pokémon.
