Shiny Pidove
If you’re shiny hunting during this spotlight, it can be pretty subtle if you’re moving through encounters quickly! Shiny Pidove takes on more of a blue hue. If you’re a collector, look out for a male and female shiny Pidove – whilst there is no difference in the first two stages, the final evolution has a gender difference!

Mega Pokémon that boost Pidove
The following Pokémon will grant you extra bonuses when catching Pidove if they are Mega-evolved.
Mega Catch Bonus
While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy are granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.
Is it worth evolving Pidove?
- Let’s be honest – when did you last see an Unfezant in GBL? You might want to consider instead its pre-evolution Tranquil, which although still middling at best, puts in a half-decent performance against many Grass and Fighting types in the Great League! You do have to power it up to Level 50 to do so, but if you’re looking for a new project…
