Trainers, PokéPark KANTO officially opened its gates on February 5, 2026, offering fans a new way to experience the Pokémon world. Located inside Yomiuriland Amusement Park in Tokyo, the park blends classic Kanto-inspired themes with modern theme park design.
Rather than focusing on traditional rides, PokéPark KANTO is designed as an outdoor environment where visitors can explore themed areas, walk through natural spaces, and encounter Pokémon placed throughout the park.
What Is PokéPark KANTO?
PokéPark KANTO is the first permanent outdoor Pokémon facility and is divided into two main areas: Sedge Town and the Pokémon Forest.
Sedge Town functions as the central hub of the park. It includes the Pokémon Trainers’ Market, Pokémon Center, Poké Mart, a Gym, a Pokémon parade, and two additional attractions designed for casual exploration rather than high-speed thrills.
The Pokémon Forest is a large outdoor area stretching over 1,600 feet. Visitors walk through natural paths while encountering Pokémon from the Kanto region and beyond, placed throughout the environment. Pokémon can be seen moving around the area, interacting with one another, battling, and sharing berries.
