Pokémon Spotlight Hour will feature a different Pokémon and a special bonus for one hour at 6:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday during the month of September. Wooloo Spotlight Hour takes place on September 3rd, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm local time, with a bonus of 2x XP for evolving Pokémon.
WoolooThis Spotlight Hour is the first September 2024 Pokémon spotlight. It’s especially exciting as shiny Wooloo debuts on September 3rd as part of the GO All Out event! It is also a great time to evolve any trash ‘mon in your storage before you transfer them.
Trainers who plan to participate should be prepared with a Mega Pokémon to maximise candy gains per Wooloo caught. Here’s everything you need to know!

Bonuses
- You will get 2x XP for Evolving Pokémon
- Shiny Wooloo and its evolution are available in Pokémon GO
Note on XP Bonus
If you do not want to catch the featured Pokémon or do not have enough Wooloo candy saved, you can make use of the 2x Evolution XP bonus by evolving any saved Scatterbug, or opening a Mystery Box or Coin Bag and evolving those!
This is a great opportunity to evolve any Pokémon caught during the first day of the GO All Out event or any spare Popplio from Community Day as you should have plenty of candy. The old-school grinders will remember the days of saving Pidgey and other low-cost evolutions for this sort of spotlight hour, and it can be a good way to grind XP with a lucky egg on.
Grookey, Sobble and Scorbunny each have 25 candy evolutions, however as they are only debuting earlier in the day it is unlikely you’ll have lots of candy stored up. Wooloo and Skwovet both have 50 candy evolutions which might be a bit more affordable. The most viable option would be holding on to some Popplio if your Pokémon storage allows for it.
Wooloo
Wooloo is a Normal-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO, with a maximum Combat Power of 798 CP. Wooloo best moveset in Pokémon GO is Tackle and Wild Charge. Shiny Wooloo is available in Pokémon GO. Wooloo is boosted by Partly Cloudy weather.
Wooloo is weak to Fighting moves. It is strong against Ghost moves.

Shiny Wooloo
Shiny Wooloo debuts at 10am on Tuesday 3rd so this is a beautiful brand new shiny to try to get your hands on. There are no gender differences to look out for and its pretty easy to spot!
The following Pokémon will grant you extra bonuses when catching Wooloo if they are Mega/Primal evolved. While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it. No. Dubwool ranks at number 41 best normal type attacker, but you’ll likely be more effective using different types as a raid attacker. Hunt down as many Wooloo as possible, because in case you needed a reminder, Dubwool is excellent in PvP since it got Double Kick, and in multiple formats, like this week’s Great League Remix, last week’s Retro Cup, and even in Ultra League! And note that Ultra requires a FULLY maxed out, Level 50 Dubwool, so if nothing else, grind for those XLs while they’re available!
