Niantic has shared that a mini Pokémon GO event will be taking place at DreamHack Melbourne from April 26 to April 28, 2024! Come and visit Niantic’s booth at Melbourne & Olympic Parks for exciting in-person gameplay and giveaways you won’t want to miss! Read on for a breakdown of everything that awaits.
This is an Australia only, onsite event, and only players visiting Dreamhack will be able to participate in it.

Event Bonuses
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours. This does not include Golden Lures.
- Lure Modules have a chance of attracting Unown D.
- 2× Buddy Catch Assist chance.
- 1/2 Stardust cost for trades.
Field Research Task Rewards
- Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available!
- The following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks!
*If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
Timed Research – Me, You, and Pikachu!
- Event-themed Timed Research will be available throughout the event!
- Complete the research tasks to earn Stardust, XP, Pikachu Candy, and an encounter with Pikachu wearing a red party hat.
