From 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM local time, immerse yourself in a winter wonderland filled with Ice-type Pokémon, including the elusive Shiny Cryogonal. This is an unique opportunity to enhance your Ice-type medal and add some new shiny Pokémon to your Pokémon collection.
The Catch Mastery Ice event is not just about catching Pokémon – it’s a chance to master the art of the perfect throw. Stock up on PokéBalls, sharpen your throwing skills, and get ready for double XP for every Pokémon caught with a special throw.
You’ll encounter favorites like Snorunt and Bergmite, and for the first time in Pokémon GO, the Shiny version of Cryogonal makes its glittering debut.

Cryogonal, the Crystallizing Pokémon, will be available as a Timed Research encounter during the entire event. The Timed Research gives you 40 Cyrogonal encounters, and each of those can be shiny.
Early reports indicate that the odds to encounter a Shiny Cyrogonal are in the 1.5% – 2% range.
